How to make
Soak the beans in water, so that they can swell overnight.
Pour out the water the next day, add fresh water and boil the beans.
Add salt, baking soda, bay leaf and boil, until they're fully cooked.
Fry the onions, leeks and garlic. When they soften, add the allspice.
Pour everything into the water with beans and add black pepper and baking soda.
Boil the bean soup for another 30 minutes.
The Serbian-Style Bean Soup is ready.
