How to make

Choose well-ripened mango fruit. Peel them and cut them into pieces. Put the fruit pulp in a thick-bottomed pot and add 3 cups of water.

Boil the mixture over low heat for about 10 minutes. Remove it from the heat, blend and add sugar and for each cup of the mixture add 1/2 cup of sugar.

Place the syrup back onto the hob and boil it over low heat, by stirring constantly. Check if it is ready, as 1 tsp. from it it is placed on a dry plate and it is turned to the side - if it isn't runny, it is ready.

Before removing it from the heat, add lemon juice and mix well. The resulting jam is enough for 3-4 jars with a capacity of 10.6 fl oz (314 ml). They are filled and turned while they're hot.
