How to make
Wash the calamari tubes and cut them into about 0.4″ (1 cm) thick slices.
In a bowl, beat two egg whites with a fork, until a foamy mixture is obtained. Add salt, beer and sparkling water. Pour the corn flour and then the white flour in portions, by stirring the beer breading, until a thick paste is obtained.
Heat a large amount of oil in a deep frying pan or non-stick pan.
Add the calamari pieces into it, by first dipping them in the breading.
When the delicious breaded calamari aquire a golden color, turn them over, then take them out and place them onto a napkin to soak up the fat.
Serve them with lemon slices and a fresh cabbage salad.
Great breaded calamari with beer and sparkling water, which go perfectly with a glass of beer.
