Ingredients

  • potatoes - 3 pcs.
  • olive oil - 1 tbsp.
  • ground black pepper - 2 pinches
  • salt - 1 pinch
  • turmeric - 1 pinch
  • tomatoes - 6 pcs. (canned)
  • basil - 1 pinch
  • cheddar - 2.8 oz (80 g)

How to make

Prepare this potato casserole with tomatoes and cheddar for an appetizing dinner or lunch.

Peel the potatoes and grate them in a bowl. Add 1/2 tbsp. of olive oil, 1 pinch of black pepper, turmeric, salt, stir and pour the mixture into a Teflon baking pan.

Peel the tomatoes and cut them into circles. If you cannot cut them into circles, cut them into larger thin pieces. Arrange the tomatoes on top of the potato layer. Sprinkle with basil, 1 pinch of black pepper and drizzle with remaining olive oil.

Bake the potato casserole at 390°F (200°C) for about 20 minutes, arrange the cheddar pieces on top, place it back into the oven and bake for another 15 minutes.

Serve the aromatic casserole with tomatoes while it's warm.
