"A classic bean stew must be served with your favorite homemade bread"

Ingredients

  • white beans - 9 oz (250 g)
  • onion - 1 small onion
  • carrots - 1 pc.
  • oil - 1 1/3 tbsp (20 ml)
  • flour - 2 tbsp.
  • paprika - 1 tbsp.
  • salt - 1 level top tbsp.
  • mint - 1 tbsp.
  • dried hot peppers - 1 pc.
  • hot peppers - 1 pc.
  • tomato juice - 2/3 cup (150 ml)

How to make

The beans are soaked for 4-5 hours in water. Then they are boiled for about 1 hour (until ready). The water is replaced. The amount of liquid depends on whether you want a thicker bean stew or a more liquid one like bean soup.

Cut and add the onions, carrots, hot pepper (finely chopped), salt, 1 tbsp. of oil into the pot and boil the beans for another 15 minutes.

Make a thickener with the oil, flour, paprika and tomato juice and add it to the beans.

Add mint and the dried hot pepper. The beans are boiled for another 5 minutes.

All we have to do now is serve the Classic Bean Stew with our favorite bread.
