How to make
Peel and mash the bananas with a fork. It is best to use ones, that have already have black spots, because they are well softened on the inside and more healthy. Drizzle with lemon juice and stir.
Cut the dried figs into small pieces and add them to the mashed bananas along with the oat bran.
Stir again, until a homogeneous and thick mixture is obtained. If desired, you can add a teaspoon or two of honey for more sweetness.
Form rectangular blocks and arrange them in a tray covered with baking paper or onto a silicone surface.
Bake them for 15 minutes in a preheated oven at 370°F (185 degrees) and after turning off the oven, leave the tray inside for another 5-8 minutes, so that they can dry out a little more.
If desired, you can bake the bars, until they aquire a darker color, but it is not that recommended, because some of the vitamins and minerals will be lost.
They are ideal for a morning or afternoon snack.
