Ingredients

  • butter - 4 oz (115 g) at room temperature
  • sugar - 4.7 oz (135 g)
  • raw tahini - 6 oz (170 g)
  • flour - 7 oz (200 g)
  • baking powder - 1 tsp.
  • salt - 1/2 tsp.
  • maple syrup - 3 tbsp.
  • vanilla extract - 1 tsp.
  • sesame seeds - 1/3 cup

How to make

Preheat the oven to 175°C. In a large bowl, mix and make a cream from the butter and sugar. Add the tahini, vanilla and maple syrup.

Stir until a smooth mixture is obtained.

Add the flour, baking powder and salt. Stir until the mixture is homogeneous.

If the dough is too soft, add 1 spoonful of flour. Leave it in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.

Scoop 1 spoonful. Form a ball, then roll it into the sesame seeds and flatten the ball.

Bake the tahini biscuits for 10-12 minutes or until the edges aquire a golden color.

Leave the sweet biscuits to cool for 10 minutes, then transfer them onto a wire rack to cool completely.
