Ingredients

  • flour - 3.1 oz (90 g)
  • semolina - 4.6 oz (130 g)
  • baking powder - 1 1/2 tsp (8 g)
  • eggs - 2 pcs.
  • cottage cheese - 7 oz (200 g)
  • white cheese - 3.5 oz (100 g)
  • oil - 4 tbsp (60 ml)
  • salt - 1 level top tbsp.
  • sugar - 1 tsp.
  • salt and herbs mixture - 1 pinch (or by taste)
  • milk - 3 - 4 tbsp.
  • vinegar - 1 tbsp.

How to make

Beat the eggs with the sugar and salt into a fluffy foam. As soon as it starts to turn white, add the oil, cottage cheese, milk, semolina and vinegar.

Set the mixer aside and sift the flour with the baking powder in portions to the mixture, while stirring with a wooden spoon until a homogenous mixture is obtained. Finally, crumble the cheese inside and sprinkle it with salt and herbs mixture and stir.

Pour the mixture into a greased and floured suitable cake tin and place in an oven preheated to 360°F (180 degrees). Bake it for about 25-30 minutes or until it is fully baked.

Once removed from the oven, allow it to cool before removing it from the cake tin and turning it into a tray.

The savory sponge cake turns out very tasty. It has a pleasant grainy structure and it's very fluffy!
