Ingredients

  • flour - 2 2/3 cups (625 g)
  • yoghurt - 3 - 4 tbsp
  • eggs - 1
  • water - 2/5 cup (100 ml) warm
  • yeast - 1 1/3 tbsp (20 g)
  • oil - 4 - 5 tbsp
  • salt - 1/2 tbsp
  • sugar - 1/2 tbsp

  • feta cheese

  • margarine - 1/5 cup (60 g)
  • flour - 1 tbsp
  • salt - 1 pinch
  • eggs - 1

How to make

Knead a dough from the ingredients. Leave it to rise for 30 min. Without kneading again, make balls a little larger than a walnut with oiled hands.

Arrange them in a generously oiled oven dish (I used an 11″ (28 cm) cake form) with a little space between each other.

Sprinkle crumbled feta cheese between the balls. Leave thus prepared buns covered in plastic wrap for 20 min.

Then, smear them with the prepared topping - melt the margarine, add the flour and egg, a little salt and stir well - until you obtain a smooth and homogeneous mixture.

Smear the buns lightly using a brush dipped in the paste, cover with the wrap again for 10 min.

Bake at 360°F (180 °C) with the fan on for about 40 min. They turn out amazing - eat them while still warm with a glass of ayran.
