How to make
Clean and wash the chicken under running water and dry it. Put it in an enameled dish to cool.
Parboil the cleaned and washed bulgur in hot water and add it to part of the chopped sauerkraut. Put the sauerkraut and bulgur to saute in the hot oil for about 20 minutes. Near the end of sauteeing, season it with paprika and crushed black pepper, add savory and a little salt if needed.
Fill the chicken with the stuffing and sew up the opening. Wrap the chicken with sauerkraut leaves and put it in a large pot, place the remaining chopped sauerkraut around it. Pour cabbage juice over the chicken and close the lid of the pot with dough.
Put the pot on low heat on the stove to cook until ready. You can serve the stuffed chicken this way, but it is even more delicious if after cooking, it is grilled to a nice tan in the oven. Enjoy your meal!
