Ingredients

  • potatoes - 4 large potatoes
  • mozzarella - 6 tbsp. with tip (grated + more for sprinkling)
  • ham - 9 oz (250 g)
  • butter - 1.6 oz (45 g)
  • black pepper - by taste
  • salt - by taste
  • oil - 1 tbsp.

How to make

Wash the potatoes and without peeling them, cut each one of them in half lengthwise. Season them salt and place them in a pan greased with a spoonful of oil.

Bake them at 360°F (180 degrees) for 10 minutes and increase the heat to 390°F (200 degrees), while continuing to bake until you pierce them with a stick or fork and it enters freely and the potatoes are soft.

Remove them from the oven, turn them over and carve out a part of their inside, leaving 0.5-1 cm along the edges. Add most of the butter, mozzarella, as much salt and black pepper as you like to the carved out part of the potatoes.

Mash the mixture well with a fork. The butter and mozzarella will melt. Cut the ham into small cubes for this mixture and stir.

Put a small piece of the remaining butter in each potato and add a little salt. Fill the potatoes with the stuffing and sprinkle them with more mozzarella on top.

Bake the stuffed potatoes at 390°F (200 degrees) until the cheese melts and they aquire a light crust.

Serve them warm as an appetizer.
