Ingredients

  • potatoes - 3.5 lb (1.5 kg)
  • butter - 2 - 3 tablespoons
  • cream - 2 tablespoons
  • milk - 3 1/3 tbsp (50 ml)
  • salt
  • black pepper

How to make

Wash and boil the potatoes. Peel them and mash them in a large pot with a slotted spoon. Don't mash them finely, you need to have coarse lumps remaining.

Add the butter to the still-warm potatoes and mix. Put the cream in and add spices to taste. These mashed potatoes can be eaten as a side dish or shaped into balls, rolled in eggs and breadcrumbs and then fried.
