Ingredients

  • wholemeal flour - 13 oz (370 g)
  • fresh yeast - 0.5 oz (15 g)
  • olive oil - 3 1/3 tbsp (50 ml) + for greasing
  • salt - 1 tsp.
  • proteins - 1 pc. for spreading
  • water - 6.4 fl oz (190 ml)
  • sesame seeds - 4 tbsp. + for sprinkling

How to make

Heat the olive oil and water slightly. Put the yeast inside it and stir, so that it can be absorbed well. Add the sesame seeds, salt and flour. Knead the dough.

Put it in a greased bowl, cover it and leave it to rise and increase its volume.

For these delicious cracker sticks you will need two rectangular trays. Line them with baking paper.

Tear off small pieces of dough and roll them into cracker sticks with your hands. Make the whole grain cracker sticks both long and thin.

Arrange them in the trays, leave them for half an hour, spread them with egg whites and sprinkle them with sesame seeds.
