How to make
Heat the water to body temperature and pour the packet of dry yeast and olive oil into it (you can also use oil). Stir and sift the flour and salt into the liquid.
Knead a dough that you transfer onto a floured surface and work with it for about 6-7 minutes until it becomes elastic.
Divide the dough into two equal parts and knead the poppy seeds into one. Shape it into two balls and place each in a greased bowl and cover it with a tea towel. Leave it to rise for 1 hour.
Roll out each ball of dough into a thin crust onto a floured surface.
Cut thin cracker sticks and ones slightly thicker, by making shapes or twisting them.
Arrange them in a tray covered with baking paper (4-5 trays come out of this quantity).
Try to arrange the thinner ones first and the thicker cracker stick separately so that they bake evenly.
Bake in a 390°F (200°C) oven for 12-16 minutes.
Crunchy and very tasty! These cracker stick will delight the children at any party!
