  • beans - 1.1 lb (500 g)
  • dried onion - 2 tbsp.
  • dried carrots - 2 tbsp.
  • dried mint - 1/2 tbsp.
  • dried parsley - 1/2 tbsp.
  • paprika - 1 tbsp.
  • soda
  • oil
  • salt
  • For the meatballs
  • minced meat - 1.1 lb (500 g) mixture of 60/40 pork/beef
  • white bread - 3 slices
  • milk - 1/2 cup
  • onions - 2 onions
  • parsley - 1/2 bunch
  • eggs - 1 pc.
  • flour - 3 tbsp.
  • black pepper
  • oil

How to make

The beans:

The beans are washed very well and soaked for 2 hours in cold water and are then boiled.

Once you boil them, throw away the water, pour cold water over them again and boil them once again

Discard the boiled water three times and boil the beans in the fourth water. After boiling them in the fourth water, add a little soda.

Boil the beans for 10 minutes, add the dried onions, carrots, paprika, black pepper and oil. The cooked beans need to be left to boil still and 20 minutes before they are fully cooked add the mint, parsley and salt.

Fried meatballs:

To the minced meat add the finely chopped onion, the egg, the bread (pre-soaked in milk along with the milk without squeezing it), the finely chopped parsley, salt and black pepper.

The mixture is mixed very well and left in a cool place for 30 minutes.

Form meatballs from it, which are then rolled in flour, they're flattened a little and fried in hot fat.

Pour the prepared beans into a baking pan, arrange the fried meatballs on them and bake the dish at 390°F (200 degrees) for 20 minutes.
