How to make
The room temperature butter is whipped along with the sugar into a fluffy cream.
Add the eggs one by one, while stirring constantly, followed by the cream.
The flour is sifted and added to the other products along with the vanilla and baking powder.
Mix everything until you get a smooth homogeneous mixture. Transfer the dough into a greased and floured pan or form with a removable bottom.
The pre-washed prunes are cut in two, their seeds are removed and placed on the dough mixture with the cut side up.
The prune cake is baked in a preheated 370°F (190 degree) oven. Check it with a toothpick to see if it is fully baked. The tootpick it should come out dry if it is.
The finished cake is sprinkled with powdered sugar.
