"If you`re having a traditional wedding, you have to prepare this traditional bean soup as well."

Ingredients

  • beans - 1 2/3 cups (400 g)
  • onions - 7 oz (200 g)
  • oil - 2/5 cup (100 ml)
  • chili peppers - 2 - 3
  • peppers - 7 oz (200 g), red, roasted
  • rice - 3 1/3 tbsp (50 g)
  • paprika - 1 tsp (5 g)
  • parsley - 1 bunch
  • spearmint - 3 - 4 sprigs
  • tomatoes - 9 oz (250 g), red
  • salt - to taste

How to make

Boil the beans from the night before for 15-20 minutes, drain them, top with cold water and boil until soft with some of the onions, some oil and the roasted chili peppers.

Add rice and a little later, the chopped roasted peppers, the remaining onion that has been finely chopped and stewed in the rest of the oil, and a little water with paprika and finely chopped red tomatoes.

Add salt, sprinkle with chopped parsley and spearmint and boil for another 10-15 minutes.
