How to make
The boiled potatoes are mashed with the salt and butter, add the mustard, dill, garlic, onions, mashed egg, season with salt, black pepper and mix to obtain a homogeneous mixture.
With moistened hands, take a bit of the mixture and shape oblong, oval balls. In a pan, heat the olive oil and add a little butter. Each potato dumpling is rolled in some beaten egg, then in breadcrumbs and fried for 5 minutes on each side.
The finished American-style potatoes are removed and drained on a rack, to remain crunchy. Serve with tomato sauce.
