Ingredients

  • peas - 1.1 lb (500 g)
  • salt
  • sugar - 1 pinch
  • mint - a few leaves
  • garlic - 2 cloves
  • butter - 2 tbsp. (or olive oil)
  • cream - 2 tbsp.
  • onion - 1 small onion (for garnish)

How to make

Boil the peas until they have completely softened and strain them.

Pour them into a blender or a food processor while they're hot.

Add the crushed garlic, soft butter, salt, sugar, mint leaves and cream.

Mash everything until a smooth or coarser puree forms.

Serve the pea puree with onion rings as a side dish to meat and vegetable dishes.
