How to make
Turn on the oven to preheat to 370°F (190 degrees).
Wash the beet heads thoroughly without peeling them and brush them with a medium-soft kitchen brush. Dry them.
Once the oven has warmed up to the required temperature, add a little salt, grease with olive oil and wrap each head separately with aluminum foil so that it sticks tightly to the vegetables and there are no holes and gaps.
Place them in a fireproof cookware and put it in the oven. Bake them for 1 hour and a half and check them with a toothpick or another sharp object, whether the beets are soft and ready. If the stick enters easily, they are completely ready.
Allow them to cool slightly and unwrap the foil. Beets are easiest to peel while still slightly warm, so peel them as soon as you remove the foil - not hot, but not completely cooled. The outer skin falls off very easily and the fact that your fingers are getting colored by them should not worry you, because that can be washed off immediately with water.
Beets prepared in this way are ideal for all kinds of salads, purees, casseroles and other dishes.
Enjoy your meal!
