Ingredients

  • broccoli - 1 head (small or medium)
  • blue cheese - 2.8 oz (80 g) or by taste
  • heavy cream - 1.1 lb (500 g)
  • cream cheese - 5.3 oz (150 g) Philadelphia
  • salt - by taste
  • white pepper - 2 pinches

How to make

Heat a saucepan of water and a pinch of salt over high heat. Once it boils, put the broccoli inside, which needs to be washed and chopped into small pieces.

Boil them for 10 minutes or until they're cooked, keeping in mind that they should remain al dente and not soften too much.

Strain the water and pour cold over them to stop the cooking process.

In a saucepan, over low heat, heat the cream and crumble the blue cheese in it (you can put more or less of it, depending on your preferences for the intensity of the taste) and add the cream cheese.

Season with salt and black pepper and stir until the cheeses dissolve in the cream and you get a smooth and creamy consistency. Cook for 10 minutes, while stirring constantly.

In plates, divide the broccoli into portions, salt them lightly and pour the aromatic sauce over them.
