How to make
For the meatballs
Cook the rice in a small pot, strain the excess liquid, rinse it with cold water and set aside in a bowl.
Add the minced meat, finely chopped onion, season with the herbs and spices and mix all the ingredients together. Roll the meatballs in flour and arrange them on a baking sheet.
Bring to a boil 8 cups (2 liters) of water and drop the meatballs gently with a spoon. Cook for 10-15 minutes and remove them from the pot. Save the water.
For the sauce
Chop the onion finely and saute it in a little olive oil. Add the peeled and grated tomato and the paprika.
Cook for 1-2 minutes and start adding gradually the flour and the hot water used to cook the meatballs, while stirring constantly.
Once the sauce thickens to the desired consistency, remove from the stove and drop the meatballs in it.
