How to make

Add the two types of meat, cut into pieces, in a saucepan and cover them with water. Salt them. Cook the meat until it's fully cooked.

In this Slavic-Style Guvec recipe, all the vegetables need to be raw before being placed in the the clay pot to cook.

Finely chop the onion and carrot. Cut the tomatoes in half and the peppers in strips. Add the portions of meat, chopped vegetables, tomato sauce, season with two bay leaves, a generous pinch of parsley, a pinch of black pepper and chopped celery in the guvec.

Add a cup of olive oil. Add the washed rice. Add the warm broth from the meat. Pour in a good amount and make sure the broth is about 1 finger over the rest of the products. Stir the food in the clay pot.

Place the clay pot in a preheated 390°F (200 degree) oven and bake for about 40 minutes. During baking, stir the Slavic-Style Guvec with Mutton and Pork from time to time.

I assure you that the taste is not inferior to the Slavic-Style Guvec prepared in the classic way by frying the vegetables.

The dish is also suitable for small children.

Enjoy your meal!
