"It looks like any other schnitzel but it`s actually quite special - with a delicious filling."

Ingredients

  • mince - 17.5 oz (500 g)
  • onions - 1 head
  • eggs - 2, 1 + 2
  • bread - 1 slice, white
  • savory
  • cumin
  • black pepper
  • mushrooms - 1 - 2
  • cheese - 3.5 oz (100 g)
  • smoked cheese - 3.5 oz (100 g)
  • pickles - 1
  • flour - 1 cup
  • oil - for frying

How to make

Place the minced meat in a deep pot. Add the grated onion, 1 egg, soaked and drained bread without the crust, black pepper, savory, cumin. Knead well and leave it to stand for at least 1 hour in the refrigerator.

Divide it into 6 parts. In the middle of each part put a small cube of cheese, a circle of smoked cheese, a slice of pickle and a piece of mushroom. Roll them up to form schnitzels.

Roll them in flour and then in the 2 beaten eggs and fry until browned on low heat.
