How to make
This is Spaghetti Bolognese according to an original Italian recipe that will transport you to your beloved Italy.
Finely chop the onion, carrots and celery. Heat the olive oil in a deep frying pan or pot and stew the vegetables over medium heat for 4-5 minutes until they soften.
Add the minced meat to the vegetables and fry, stirring until it acquires a golden color and is completely broken up into pieces.
Pour the red wine and cook for 3-4 minutes until the alcohol has evaporated.
Pour the tomato sauce and add the bay leaves. Reduce to low heat, let the sauce simmer for about 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
When the spaghetti sauce is ready, add the milk, salt and pepper to taste. Mix well.
Boil the spaghetti in salted water according to the instructions on the package (usually 8-10 minutes). Once cooked, strain, but save some of the water for diluting the sauce if necessary.
Put the spaghetti in a pan, add 3-4 generous spoons of the sauce, 1 ladle of the boiling water from the pasta, butter, parmesan and stir until the water evaporates.
Place the cooked spaghetti on a plate, pour the Bolognese sauce over them and sprinkle with parmesan flakes. Garnish with a basil leaves.
