How to make
Heat olive oil in a deep saucepan with a thick bottom. Add the chopped onion and garlic. Stew for about 1-2 minutes. Add the diced peeled tomatoes, if they're fresh, or 1 pc. canned tomatoes.
Season with salt, paprika and black pepper and sprinkle with thyme. Leave on medium heat until the water from the tomatoes evaporates completely. Then remove and set aside.
Clean the asparagus by peeling off the lower hard part. Blanch in salted boiling water for 3 minutes. Remove and place in a bowl of ice water for a short while. Then they are dried and broken into pieces.
The pasta is boiled according to the instructions on the package.
Pour the finished pasta into a large bowl, add the pieces of asparagus, stir.
Optionally, a few drops of olive oil can be added.
Distribute into plates, pour tomato sauce over the pasta and shred some basil leaves.
