  • phyllo pastry - 18 oz (500 g) sheets
  • eggs - 4 - 5
  • feta cheese - 7 oz (200 g)
  • carbonated water - 1 1/5 cups (300 ml.)
  • oil - 4/5 cup (200 ml.)

How to make

In a greased oven dish, arrange a layer of phyllo pastry, a layer of feta cheese (grated coarsely), repeat. Finish off with 3-4 phyllo pastry sheets.

Slice the pie into squares. Pour in the hot oil and then a mixture of beaten eggs and carbonated water. Bake in a moderate oven, at 360°F (180 °C), until browned.

Remove it from the oven, top it lightly with oil and cover with a towel to smother.
