Although the real walnut season is in the fall, they can be found in stores year-round - a fact that you should take advantage of.

Walnuts are very rich in fiber, protein, omega-3 fatty acids, B-group vitamins, iron, copper, manganese and a host of other elements invaluable to human health. You can consume them daily, by being careful only with their quantities, because they are quite caloric.

Speaking of walnuts, you probably imagine that they can only be used to make walnut sponge cakes, pastries or any other desserts with walnuts.

However, you are mistaken here, because if you let your imagination run wild, you will find that they are also very suitable for making appetizing bites. Here are some walnut spread ideas.

Peel the peppers and cut them as finely as possible. Leave them for half an hour to drain and transfer them into a bowl. Add about 1 cup of crumbled white cheese, 1 pressed clove of garlic and a few spoonfuls of yogurt with a higher percentage, enough to make a thick mixture.

Mix all of the ingredients well and add about 1/2 cup of crushedwalnuts. If desired, you can season with finely chopped parsley and black pepper. If your white cheese is salty enough, you don't need to add salt. However, we know that excessively salty dishes are harmful to our health.
