Desserts with Cherries

Delicious cherries can be used to make all kinds of desserts. Let us offer you 3 recipes for phenomenal desserts with cherries that you can use to delight the entire family.

The 1st dessert is very easy to make. You will need 2/3 cup flour, 2/5 cup butter, 3 tbsp sugar, 1 1/5 cups cherries, 1 lemon. Remove the pits and stems from the cherries, then cut them into quarters. Then add a tablespoon of lemon juice and the same amount of lemon rind to the bowl of cherries. Next, add the sugar to this mixture.

Stir well and pour the cherries into heat resistant cups that you have buttered a little ahead of time. From the flour and butter, softened but not melted, make butter crumbs. After making them it's good to leave them about an hour in the refrigerator.

Then pour the butter crumbs over the cherries and if desired sprinkle on a little more sugar. Heat the oven to 360°F (180°C) and bake until the crumbs turn golden. This dessert is called Cherry Crumble and can be made either with white or brown sugar.

Cherries

The next recipe can also be made in small cups, here are the products:

Delicious Dessert with Cherries

Ingredients: 3 eggs, 2/5 cup flour, 2/5 cup sugar, 1 cup milk, 1/2 cup strained yoghurt, 1 lemon, 4/5 cup cherries, 1/5 cup butter, a pinch of salt.

Preparation: First whip the 3 eggs with the sugar, then add the yoghurt to them. Begin adding the flour that you've mixed with the pinch of salt, as well as the milk. Add the lemon rind to the mixture. Next comes the butter, which has been melted and left to cool well ahead of time.

Leave the mixture in the bowl for about 45 min., in the meantime remove the pits from the cherries. Pour the mixture into heat resistant bowls that have been buttered and pour the cherries on top. Place the bowls in a preheated 360°F (180°C) oven for about 30 min.

Cherry Soup

We recommend eating them 20 min. after taking them out of the oven. Don't fill the bowls all the way to the top - only about 2/3 of their volume. The dessert can be made with other favorite fruits of your choice as well.

Our last proposal is for a Sweet Cherry Soup - it sounds unusual but is extremely suitable for the summer season, since it's consumed cold. Additionally, you can eat the cherry soup in combination with ice cream.

You need 1 1/5 cups white wine and 1 2/3 cups water - put them in a pot on the stove and add a stick of cinnamon, the juice of half a lemon, the rind of the whole lemon, 1/2 cup sugar.

Once the mixture comes to a boil, lower the heat and leave it to simmer for about 5 min. Then add 2 cups of pitted and halved cherries to it.

Let the soup boil on the stove another 5 min., then remove and leave it to cool completely. Once this happens, transfer it to a blender and blend.
