Mussels can be found in a river and sea. Black mussel meat, which lives in the Black Sea, is used for mussel appetizers, seafood salads, main dishes, etc.

Mussels are liked as a specialty by people with a fine taste. Before cooking, the mussels are scraped with a knife and immersed in cold water and are then cleaned with a brush.

Mussels can be served boiled and stewed in butter.

They are prepared by washing the mussels and boiling them in water for 15-20 minutes until their shells open. Remove the meat, wash it, pour warm water over them, add butter, finely chopped garlic and as much salt as you like.

Boil them until they are left in a little sauce. As a warm appetizer, usually fried or breaded mussels are served, garnished with a suitable warm sauce.

Traditionally, mussels are cooked in white wine, cream with tomatoes and basil and in their own juice.

These are the basic combinations, that are used as a base for most sauces.

Marinate the mussels in soy-garlic sauce. Leave them for 2 hours. Then bake them in the oven and make sure to grease the tray with oil in advance.

Then spread them on a serving tray, garnish them with Italian herbs, pour over a lemon-garlic sauce and serve them.

Prepared this way, they are delicious and tender.
