The microwave has long been part of our daily lives and is increasingly being used. It saves not only time, but also electricity consumption. The principle of operation of the microwave oven allows the vitamins and minerals in the products used to be almost completely preserved. Various desserts can also be prepared, saving time on their baking.
One of them is crème caramel. Start off with preparing the caramel. In a cup on the stove, put 2 tablespoons of sugar with 1 tablespoon of water. Heat until the sugar dissolves and the color changes to golden. Once this is achieved, remove the cup from the stove and add 1 more tablespoon of water. Stir well. The caramel may remain a little watery, but this is not a problem. Pour it into the bowls in which it will be baked in the microwave.
In a bowl, mix 3 eggs, 5 tbsp. powdered sugar, vanilla and 300 ml of milk. Beat well. Pour the mixture into the bowls with the caramel. It may seem like the two liquids are mixing. Don't worry - the caramel will settle during cooking.
Cook it for 5 to 7 minutes on high. It may seem thin when you take it out of the microwave, but it will firm up when it cools.
The baking time depends on the power of the microwave and the size of the molds in which the mixture is distributed. After 5 minutes, it is a good idea to keep an eye on it. After taking it out, set it aside for 5-10 minutes.
Then cool it in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours.
If you don't like caramel, you can prepare it without it. You will get a regular custard.
