It is a kind of Arabic spice that is versatile because it contains a mix of several different spices that are most commonly used in Middle Eastern cuisine.

What's in Baharat Spice
Here's what Baharat actually contains:
- black pepper;
- cumin;
- coriander seeds;
- cloves;
- cardamom;
- paprika;
- cinnamon;
- nutmeg;
All the spices - except the nutmeg, paprika and cinnamon - are roasted in a hot pan for 5 minutes, by stirring. Then they are cooled and mixed with paprika, nutmeg and cinnamon.
Put them in a food processor and grind them. Then, as we said, store the spice in an airtight jar.
However, you should store it in airtight jars and away from direct light and heat. It should be stored like this for three months.
