Is soy or almond milk considered better?

- For diet. If the reason for consumption is a healthy diet with the ultimate goal of eliminating extra pounds, then almond milk is the more suitable option. Although soy milk is lower in fat, almond milk contains smaller amounts of starch, which significantly reduces its calories. One cup of unsweetened almond milk contains only 40 calories, while soy milk contains about 80.

- Prevention of serious diseases. Both types of milk have proven benefits against cancer prevention, but almond milk excels in its composition. It is rich in manganese and vitamin E, which provide strong protection against cancer;

- Hormonal effects. In this respect, soy milk is not considered a particularly recommended product. There are suggestions, that it causes unwanted effects for people who are of reproductive age - especially men, because of the phytohormones;

- Procurement of proteins. Here soy milk is significantly superior to almond milk, as one cup of it contains about 7 grams of protein. There is almost twice as much protein in one cup of almond milk.

With soy or almond milk, you can prepare almost all the recipes, which you usually make with regular milk:

- dairy filo pastry pie;

- fluffy pancakes;

- homemade sponge cake.
