How are Cherries Pitted?

We all love cherries. This wonderful fruit is a favorite of many people and not only that - we all associate it with the coming of summer and the wonderful warm weather.

However, before eating the cherries, it will be more convenient for us to pit them, instead of constantly fighting with them while trying to chew the fleshy part of the fruit.

So now we're going to look at a few options for removing cherry pits, so we can enjoy them one hundred percent.

1. Remove the pits with a knife

The knife is a good helper in everything and that is why it can help us here. We just need to cut the fruit into two parts and carefully separate the pit from the fleshy part.

The disadvantage here is that the fruit does not remain whole and there is a high probability that we will lose some of its juice.

That is why the second option comes to the rescue

2. Remove the pit with a wooden skewer

For this you will need a wooden skewer, a glass or plastic bottle with a narrow neck and of course - cherries. After washing the cherries, place them on the neck of the bottle. The neck should be narrow, so that the cherry does not fall into the bottle. Once you have placed them, so that they do not fall out, use the wooden skewer (passing it through the middle of the cherry) to push the pit. So you can enjoy whole, delicious and juicy cherries.

Of course, the option of cleaning cherry pit with a pit cleaning device remains the best possible choice. Also, removing cherry pits with a safety pin is a common practice.

If you love cherries, we recommend that you prepare:

- cherry sponge cake;

- cherry cheesecake;

- or another cherry pie;

Enjoy!
