Coconut is very tasty, but getting to its irresistible interior is a real challenge. First of all, you need to break it. You can use a small awl for this purpose.
Another option is to use a corkscrew to pierce the two eyes (the dark spots on the coconut). Pour the coconut water into a glass. Take a kitchen mallet and start tapping the corkscrew or awl that is placed in the middle of the nut and by gently rolling the coconut back and forth.
After just a few seconds, a crack will form in its middle and the nut will split into two parts. Then, by using a sharp knife, cut out the pieces of the delicious white interior of the coconut. You can use the shell for an exotic decoration.
