Gastritis is an insidious disease that can seriously impair the quality of life of people suffering from it. Fortunately, it is among the well-studied diseases and can be controlled with medication and a long-term diet.
People suffering from gastritis should consume food 4-5 times a day, divided into small portions. The dishes should not be too hot or too cold. And although there are two types of gastritis - with low or high acidity, olives can be part of both diets.
Olives are among the permitted foods for gastritis, even some grandmothers' recipes recommend olive oil on an empty stomach for the disease. Olives have a beneficial effect on the gastrointestinal tract and do not irritate the stomach.
It is recommended that patients with gastritis consume 1 tbsp. of olive oil in the morning on an empty stomach, in which olives have been soaked for at least 20 days. It is also recommended to consume large quantities of olives.
