Carrots are one of the vegetables that are present in almost all dishes on our table. They can prepared and added to many dishes and at the same time they are very healthy and tasty.
However, before they can be cooked and served to our loved ones, they must be peeled and cleaned.
Often when carrots are thinner and smaller, the hosts make the mistake of peeling them, like some other vegetables, and thus "take" too much of the weight off of a carrot. So instead of two carrots, we now need three because we have reduced them in size too much in our attempts to clean them.
The most common method of cleaning carrots, I emphasize cleaning, because peeling is not an option when cooking dish with carrots, is to scrape only the surface with a knife.
If the knife is slightly embossed, the task will be much easier. It is important to clean them as long as there is no dirt left in the folds of the carrot itself. This vegetable does not need to be peeled due to the lack of peel it has - it only needs a slight scraping.
Another interesting method for cleaning carrots is scraping the surface of a carrot with aluminum foil. Obviously, this trick has already been tried and I can firmly say that it works in case the carrots are younger and smaller. Take a crumpled piece of aluminum foil and carefully peel the carrots on their surface.
