Figs are extremely healthy and tasty fruit. You can find fresh figs on the market from the beginning of June to the end of October. The only condition before consuming them is that they must be very well washed.
You can eat figs whole, peeled or not. Even the seeds inside are also edible.
The ideal ripe fig is soft, with an irresistibly sweet aroma and it melts in your mouth.
You can store the fresh fruit in the refrigerator for up to three days. It is good to leave them at room temperature for a while before eating them.
Figs are used to make delicious fig jam, fig syrup, fig wine or they can also be dried.
