Undoubtedly stuffed peppers are one of the most popular dishes.
This is one of the popular light summer dishes and not only in summer (but the summer months, as we all know, is their season).
You can fill both raw and roasted peppers.
Pepper stuffing can be quite varied. To make the stuffed peppers juicier, we will sharw with you a quick and economical white sauce.
Easy white sauce for stuffed peppers
Necessary products:
Flour - 2 tbsp.
Salt - 1/2 tsp.
Paprika - 1 tsp.
Butter - 1.1 oz (30 g)
Oil - 2 tbsp (30 ml)
Yogurt - 7 oz (200 g) at room temperature
Eggs - 2 pcs. (at room temperature)
Water - 2 cups (500 ml)
Method of preparation: In a deep pot, heat the butter and oil. Add the flour and fry for a minute or two, while stirring constantly. Add the paprika, stir and remove it from the heat.
While stirring constantly, add water. Place it back onto the hob, stir until it has boiled and the stuffed pepper sauce has slightly thickened.
Beat the eggs with the yoghurt. Add a bit from the hot sauce to the yogurt, while stirring at all times. Once the yogurt has warmed up, pour it into the pot, while stirring constantly, so that the sauce doesn't lump up.
Add as much salt as you like and serve the stuffed peppers with this delicious and quick sauce.
