Ingredients

  • flour - about 3 1/3 cups (800 g)
  • yeast - 1 cube
  • salt - 1 tablespoon
  • sugar - 1 tablespoon
  • vinegar - 1 tablespoon
  • oil - 3 tablespoons
  • sugar syrup - for spreading
  • vinegar - 1 tablespoon
  • water - about 1 2/3 cups (400 ml) cool

How to make

Dissolve the yeast with a little cool water, add the sugar and 1 tbsp flour.

Sift the rest of the flour, make a well, pour in the risen yeast. Add the remaining products. Pour water in gradually and knead a soft dough. The dough needs to unstick from the container.

Leave it to rise.

Divide up the ready dough into balls and roll out wicks. Shape the flower by arranging them in a tray laid out with baking paper or one with a nonstick coating.

Smear the pita with sugar syrup and bake in a 390°F (200 °C) oven until it gains a golden crust.

Sprinkle the ready pita lightly with water and cover with a clean towel, leave to soften.
