How to make
With a mixer, beat the combined oil, softened butter and egg well. To them add the yoghurt and semolina, beat again.
Sift the mixed together flour, baking powder and vanillas. In small lots, add it to the other mixture and finish kneading by hand.
Roll out the dough to 1/4″ (0.5 cm) thick sheet using a rolling pin. With a small cookie cutter, cut out circles from the dough.
Arrange 5 of them next to each other, overlapping them slightly. Wrap it into a small roll and cut it into 2.
Shape the halves into roses and arrange in a tray with baking paper. Do this for all of the remaining dough.
Bake in a preheated 360°F (180 °C) oven for about 15 min. Pour the prepared hot syrup over the baked and cooled roses.
