Ingredients

  • phyllo pastry - 1 packet, sheets
  • stuffing
  • eggs - 4
  • sugar - 1 cup
  • flour - 1 cup
  • walnuts - 1 cup, ground or crushed
  • semolina - 1/2 cup
  • baking powder - 1/2 cup
  • cinnamon - to taste
  • butter - 1/2 cup (125 g)
  • oil - 1/2 cup
  • syrup
  • water - 4 1/5 cups (1 L)
  • sugar - 2 cups (500 g)

How to make

Break the eggs in a deep container, add the sugar and beat to fluffy cream.

Add the flour, mixed with the baking powder, cinnamon, semolina and walnuts. Stir everything with a spoon.

Put 1/2 the sheets in a tray that you've oiled ahead of time. Pour the cake mixture on top.

Put the rest of the sheets on top of the mixture. Cut it into separate pieces.

Put the butter and oil in a separate container to heat on the stove. Pour the mixture over the pieces.

Place in the oven and bake to a golden color. Boil a syrup from the water and sugar.

Pour the hot syrup over the cooled baklava.
