If the cabbage juice from your sauerkraut is too sour or salty, dilute it with water. If it's not salty enough, you can add a little salt to taste.
Pour it into a pot and once it comes to a boil add the oil and finely chopped leeks.
Then add the cleaned and washed rice and the savory.
Leave the soup to boil on medium heat about 20-25 min., while stirring from time to time. Boil until the rice is fully cooked.
When serving you can sprinkle additional savory, freshly ground black pepper, plus some dry red chili peppers that you've roasted on the stove and ground in a mortar and pestle.
