"Quick and very tasty, for all the busy village homemakers AND city slickers."

Ingredients

  • pork - 1/2 jar, canned
  • potatoes - 4 large
  • rice - 1/2 cup
  • onions - 1 big head, old
  • green onions - 3 bunches
  • garlic - 1 clove
  • carrots - 2
  • tomato juice - 1/2 cup
  • black pepper - 7 - 8 grains
  • paprika - 1 tsp
  • spearmint - 1 bunch
measures

How to make

Heat 3 tbsp oil and braise the finely chopped old onion in it until softened, add the sliced carrots, tomato juice, stir and saute until the carrots soften.

Add the finely diced potatoes, pour in 1 1/2 cups warm water, stir, cook until the water evaporates - about 10 min. Sprinkle the black pepper grains and paprika, stir briefly and add the well cleaned and washed rice, plus the meat from the jar that you've cut into bites.

Stir and pour in 2 1/2 cups warm water, salt and leave the dish to boil on low heat with the lid on until the rice is ready.

Shortly before removing the dish from the stove, add the green onions, chopped into about 1/2″ (1 cm) pieces, the finely chopped garlic clove and fresh spearmint, stir and take the dish off the stove after about 3 min.

Quick and very tasty, for all the busy village homemakers out there!
