How to make
Knead 1/2 cube yeast with 1 tsp salt, 2 tbsp flour and 2/5 cup (100 ml) warm water. Once effervescent, add another 4/5 cup (200 ml) warm water and 1 tbsp oil.
Add about 2 cups flour and knead a soft dough. Leave in a warm area for 1 hour to rise. Melt 1 tbsp lard and mix it with 1 tbsp oil. Oil a tray, dip your hands in melted lard and form balls from the dough.
Roll out each ball with your fingers, put a piece of feta cheese in the middle and form into a ball again. Arrange the balls and push on them slightly on top. Leave them for 30 min. to rise.
In the meantime prepare the cream to pour over the buns: mix 2 tbsp flour, the softened butter, 1 tbsp lard (also softened), 1 tbsp water, the egg and 1/2 tsp salt.
After the buns rise, pour the cream over them and leave for another 15 min. Bake in a preheated 430°F (220 °C) until ready.
