Ingredients

  • flour - 2 lb (1 kg)
  • yeast - 1 1/3 tbsp (20 g), baker's
  • milk - 1 2/3 cups (400 ml)
  • oil - 5 - 6 tbsp + some for frying
  • sugar - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • potatoes - 3, medium - sized, boiled

How to make

Dissolve the yeast in the slightly heated milk with a pinch of sugar. Then add it to the boiled and mashed potatoes.

Add the salt, sugar, oil and knead a smooth dough with the flour.

Form fritters from it and put them to fry on both sides in oil. Optionally, serve these potato mekitsi with powdered sugar.
