  • for the dough
  • flour - 1 4/5 cups (425 g)
  • yeast - 1 1/3 tbsp (20 g)
  • sugar - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • milk - 1 cup (250 ml)
  • oil - 2 tbsp
  • for the filling
  • pork - 2 lb (1 kg), or chicken meat
  • bacon - 7 oz (200 g)
  • onions - 3 - 4 heads
  • peppers - 4, red, roasted
  • mushrooms - 14 oz (400 g)
  • soy sauce - 3 - 4 tbsp
  • paprika - 1 tsp

  • black pepper
  • cheese - 3.5 oz (100 g)

How to make

Dissolve the yeast in the warm milk and the sugar. Sift the flour and knead a soft dough from the listed ingredients. Leave it to rise until doubled in volume.

For the filling, heat oil in a deep pan. Dice the meat and braise. Add the finely chopped bacon, then the onions and mushrooms. Once they soften a bit, add the roasted peppers, soy sauce and spices.

Cook the filling until it's ready. Leave it to cool. Knead the dough again and spread it out along the bottom and walls of a round oven dish 10 1/4″ (26 cm) in diameter. Smear it thoroughly with melted butter and leave it to rise 15-20 min.

Pour in the filling and bake the dish at 390°F (200 °C) for about 25 min. Next, sprinkle with grated cheese.

Return to the oven for a few min. until it melts.
