How to make

Pour the warm milk in a bowl. Add the sugar, yeast and 2 tbsp flour. Stir and leave the yeast to activate. Sift the flour in another bowl. Make a well and pour in the yeast, sugar and melted butter.

Knead a soft and smooth dough. Let it rise for about 40 min. Roll out the dough into a rectangular crust. In a bowl, for the filling, mix the softened butter, sugar, cinnamon and almond marzipan.

Stir well with a fork. Smear the crust with the filling and sprinkle with dried fruits (raisins, blueberries and others).

Wrap it into a roll and cut it in 2 lengthwise. Turn the 2 parts with the cut side facing up and weave them together. Lay out an oven dish with baking paper. Move the roll into it and form a wreath. Sprinkle with sliced almonds and leave it to rise for 30 min.

Bake at 360°F (180 °C) for about 35 min. Take the wreath out of the oven. Leave it to cool and sprinkle with powdered sugar if desired.
