Put the ingredients for the marinade to boil. Once the marinade cools, add 1 tablespoon of sodium benzoate and pour it over vegetables, that have been washed and packed in 12 1/2 cups (3 liter) jars.
Put of leaves of celery on the top. Seal and keep in a cool place. Do not decant them.
