How to make
We clean and peel the pears and remove the seeds. We cut them into quarters and arrange them in a pre-greased cake tin, in which we have also put the brown sugar.
Put the butter and sugar on the stove to melt. When that is ready, remove from the heat and add the beaten eggs.
Mix the flour with the baking powder in a suitable bowl. Make a well and pour the mixture with the eggs.
Mix well and pour the mixture over the pears, by leveling out well all over.
Bake in an oven preheated to 360°F (180°C) for 40 minutes.
When it is ready, we let it cool and turn it over in a suitable tray, sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve the sponge cake.
